Belmont Park and Wave HouseBelmont Park and Wave House Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) Located in Mission Bay, Belmont Park was a former amusement park that is now a shopping, dining, and recreation complex, but still features the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) and The Plunge, southern California's largest indoor pool. Also featured at the complex is Pirate's Cove, an obstacle course and maze done to a Pirate theme, and athe Wave House, where surfers and bodyboarder can experience a near perfect simulated wave. Other favorite rides include Chaos, a random three-dimensional rocking, rolling, and rotating motion; Vertical Plunge, which drops riders three stories to the ground; the new twist on bumper cars, Krazy Kars; the classic Tilt-A-Whirl; and the Liberty Carousel, an antique reproduction from the golden age of amusement parks. Hours: Monday–Thursday, 11:00 am–8:00 pm Directions: I-5 S to Sea World Drive. Follow the signs to West Mission Bay Drive.
