The Northern section of the beach is used by YMCA and fish farming and is less desirable. Dogs are to be leashed and are not allowed on the beach or boardwalk. Swimmers beware of hazardous seawalls (groins). Residential areas are to the south and food sources are closer to Carlsbad Village drive.
