San Diego's oldest firehouse in downtown San Diego’s “Little Italy,” proudly displays over 150 years of firefighting history from around the world. Old Fire Station 6 (built in 1906),is full of firefighting equipment, memorabilia, and photographs spanning generations of the fire service. Learn what it took to save lives and property and how the fire service has evolved while maintaining many of the same traditions.

Hours: Wednesday–Friday 10:00 am–-2:00 pm;
Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am–4:00 pm
Closed: Monday and Tuesday. May be closed major U.S. holidays.

Directions: From I-5 S, exit at Front Street/Civic Center. Make the second right (just past the Radison Hotel). Continue on Cedar for 3 blocks. The museum is on the left at Columbia.
From I-5 N, exit at Hawthorne Street/Airport. Turn left at Columbia Street (the second traffic light). Continue on Columbia to Cedar. The museum is on the right at Cedar.
