San Diego Model Railroad MuseumSan Diego Model Railroad Museum Average User Rating: (0 votes, add your vote or comments) San Diego Model Railroad Museum is the largest indoor model railroad display in the world. This unique museum has four enormous scale model layouts, which depict railroads of the southwest in O, HO and N scales. The Toy Train Gallery features an interactive Lionel layout for children and the museum also hosts a 3-Rail Hi Rail layout, numerous educational displays, and prototype artifacts, including a centralized traffic control (CTC) machine, working semaphore, and crossing signal. SDMRM preserves the heritage of railroading through a series of miniature representations of California railroads, researches and preserves the history of model railroading, and educates the public in the many different aspects of railroading.
